Emily has a thing for cabinets

This kitchen spoke to me because a lot of its aspects were closest to what I would have in my dream home! I like the “updated colonial” look, as it’s something-new-that-looks-old. Also, we were able to fill one whole wall with floor to ceiling cabinetry and it’s still huge! I just have a thing for cabinets. I know, I don’t get it either :p
Liz loves getting people back in their home

After working so closely with this client and then to see their home destroyed by fire was devastating. To be just a small part of recreating their home (and lives) after the fire was very meaningful and it’s my favorite project for that reason.

I’m always excited when the clients are overjoyed by the results of their renovation – even if they tear up at our Completion Celebration. My favorite has to be one project where the design was terrific – especially the screen porch / master deck addition.
Lisa looks for design risks, gorgeous elements and fun

It’s hard to chose a favorite, but I liked that this project touched so many different areas of their home. The clients were willing to take risks in color (dark blue kitchen cabinets) and style (penny floor tile in powder room). The re-designed layouts made both the kitchen and master bath feel so much larger and open with increased functionality for their family. The clients were fun, friendly and enjoyed the whole process.
Nicola’s favorite project was hers – of course!

It was quite the journey given I was pregnant with twins at the time, but it was beautifully finished on-time, on-budget ready for their arrival! I wanted a design aesthetic that was European and contemporary, but paid homage to the mid-century modern origins of our home. Synergy delivered exactly that with slab cabinets (including horizontal top-opening cabinets), a large white silestone granite island, a wine fridge (a must-have!) and a kitchen packed with design details and style. Beyond that, the free-standing fireplace was updated with matching large-format Mirage tiles. The first floor was completely transformed and we loved it!
