The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Metro DC Chapter named Synergy Design & Construction a 2021 Achievement Award Winner at their annual virtual “Evening of Excellence” held on Friday, February 5, 2021.
The NARI Achievement Awards are bestowed on an annual basis to recognize outstanding achievements by an individual, company, or chapter that has worked to promote or enhance the professional remodeling industry. Synergy was recognized for its Signature Partnership with Cornerstones, a local non-profit right here in Reston.

The importance of a place to call home has never been more critical, particularly now when many local families are facing financial hardship and housing insecurity. Affordable housing is not a new need in our community, but it is a growing one fueled by the COVID-19 pandemic. Serving Northern Virginia for 50 years, Cornerstones is one of this region’s leading anchor organizations offering safety-net programs, including homelessness prevention, emergency shelter and food, quality childcare, job training, and urgent financial assistance to help most vulnerable neighbors living in crisis today. Our innovative wrap-around approach empowers people to strengthen their resiliency and rebuild their economic, physical, and mental stability to live a healthy, connected life in our community.
Fulfilling our mission requires the generous support of extraordinary community partners like Synergy Design & Construction. A long-time advocate of Cornerstones, Synergy Design & Construction became a Signature Partner this year, committing even more of their time, manpower, and materials to remodel and refresh a number of our affordable housing units in Northern Virginia. This valuable partnership ensures quality, long-lasting renovation work is completed, and the units are move-in ready.
It gives me great pleasure to nominate Synergy Design & Construction for a NARI Community Service Award. The deep spirit of community volunteerism is clearly part of Synergy’s cultural DNA. Mark, Mina, and the team at Synergy Design & Construction give so much back to our community. Their hands-on support not only helps Cornerstones save thousands in renovation costs, but they also help ensure local families have a life-changing opportunity to regain their independence and security through our affordable housing program. Synergy Design & Construction is a prominent example of how our community can pull together to let our most vulnerable neighbors know we care.
