We’ve been part of the Reston community for a long time, and it has always been important to us to give back and support others in this area. It makes us happy and proud to be able to support both non-profits and youth organizations in our local area. We are, therefore, delighted to announce we are the GOLD SPONSOR for 2022 summer season of Reston Swim Team Association (RSTA)!
Many of you may know of, or even been part of, RSTA over the years. The league was created in the late 60s, not long after Reston was first established. It has grown over the years and is now a year-round developmental swim league open to all young swimmers between the ages of 6 and 18. The summer season brings together kids in eight different teams from all over Reston and the surrounding areas with daily practices and weekend meets held at Reston Association pools. The coaches are all current or former RSTA swimmers. RSTA prides itself on it’s focus on not only developing strong swimmers, but fair play and camaraderie – with a good dose of FUN along the way! What you may not know is that RSTA is completely run by local parent volunteers who work tirelessly throughout the year to bring summer swim to 800+ kids every summer!
If you know any local children who might be interested, we encourage you to sign up! Registration opens for new families on April 30th and it is gearing up to be another great season. RSTA has also developed a program called New Wave which is for swimmers who aren’t quite swim team ready but have basic swim skills and – perhaps more importantly – enthusiasm to develop their swimming as a path to joining a team!
