Originally built in 1974, this 2,900 sq. ft. home in the heart of Vienna was ready for a modern refresh! The outdated Kitchen was a challenge due to a previous, and poorly constructed, Great Room addition that left an unsightly support column and oversized bulkhead to dominate the spaces. In addition to the awkward separation between spaces, the client had been left with uneven flooring going in different directions as well as other structural issues.
A major transformation took place in the kitchen, where we relocated the Dining Room entry, removed the outdated U-shaped layout, and reconfigured the space for improved prep areas, better storage, and a stunning new island. Organization was key, with custom drawers and a thoughtfully designed pantry to maximize efficiency. To enhance the flow of the home, we revived the butler’s pantry, creating a stylish spot for specialty drinks and entertaining.
Beyond the kitchen, the main level received contemporary updates, including new flooring, refreshed railings, and a modernized powder room with a new sink, toilet, and fresh paint. The home office was given a bold, refreshed look, while light, airy finishes throughout created an inviting and open feel. This Vienna home is now a true reflection of its owner’s vision—bright, open, and effortlessly stylish, with thoughtful details that enhance both beauty and functionality. Every change was made with intention, resulting in a stunning transformation that seamlessly blends modern sophistication with everyday practicality.
