This family of four was ready to bring their Kitchen and Solarium right up to date! The original Kitchen of this contemporary home was built with lots of tall and odd-angled cabinetry which overpowered the room and made it feel galley-like and closed-in despite the large square footage of the space. The green and blonde wood cabinet color scheme was dated. White cabinets now make the most of the beautiful natural light in this space as well as providing ample storage and a clean, modern feel. Removal of high cabinetry where a microwave and wall oven were previously located and creating a larger island with a vented hood instead changed the whole perspective of the room.Â
The family prefer a more transitional style that leans towards contemporary in keeping with the architecture of the home. The Kitchen now provides plenty of space for them to gather and relax.
