Reston based design-build firm named Grand Winner in 2017 Capitol CotY (Contractor of the Year) for residential renovation from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Metro DC Chapter recently named Synergy Design & Construction based in Reston, VA, a 2017 Capitol CotY TM Grand winner in the interiors over $150,000 category. Winners of the annual awards competition were recognized at the annual “Evening of Excellence” held at the Bethesda Jazz and Blues Club.
Contractors from the vast Metro DC area vie for CotY Awards each year. Judging is based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation and degree of difficulty by an impartial panel of industry experts. Several Capitol CotY winners were also named NARI Regional winners and will advance to the final competition of being named a National winner.
The home, located in Leesburg, VA, was designed and remodeled by Synergy who re-imagined two levels of the house and imbued the spaces with a sophisticated “country” feel. Custom millwork, new floors and tile, elegant fixtures, and pops of color and texture were added throughout.

Each year NARI Metro DC presents Capitol CotY awards to members who have demonstrated outstanding work through their remodeling projects. The entries of this year’s competition totaled more than $135 million worth of remodeling projects.
