Originally built with a traditional aesthetic and aging finishes, this primary bathroom was ready for a refreshing transformation. The homeowners envisioned a bright, calming retreat that felt spacious, modern, and intentional, but the compartmentalized shower, built-in tub, and limited lighting made the room feel closed off and short on functionality for daily routines.
To bring their vision to life, Synergy reimagined the entire bathroom to maximize openness, usability, and serenity. The existing shower wall and doorway were removed to enhance flow, and replaced with a new half-wall, a tiled curb, and a frameless custom glass enclosure. Multiple showering options (a fixed head, handheld, and a ceiling-mounted rain head) now create a luxurious spa-like experience that the homeowners can enjoy every day.
Bathroom Design Details That Elevate Aesthetics and Purpose
To make the tub wall a true focal point rather than a visual barrier, the bulky built-in platform tub was replaced with a sleek freestanding soaking tub paired with an elegant Brizo Baliza deck-mounted filler. A stone-topped ledge adds style and convenience while maintaining a streamlined look throughout the room.
Functionality was equally important. Two James Martin vanities, 48″ and 60″, each with integrated solid-surface tops, now provide generous storage and usable countertop space. A Docking Drawer keeps devices accessible yet out of sight for a clean, everyday-ready vanity area. Updated Brushed Nickel fixtures and framed mirrors introduce refined cohesion across all touchpoints. The W.C. area also received thoughtful upgrades, including a new toilet and overhead storage to support everyday organization.

Closet access was improved with new mirrored bypass doors to boost both functionality and visual openness. A soft-close pocket door at the W.C. provides privacy without reducing floor space. Behind the scenes, upgraded exhaust fans and fresh paint complete the transformation.
