Our clients owned a spacious upscale townhome in a lovely neighborhood, but the nearly 20-year-old dark-cherry finishes and layout of the original Kitchen were starting to date. They also had big ideas to improve other areas of the home that were previously untouched or under-developed, including an entertaining area of the Basement and a Hall Bath.
Before updating the Kitchen finishes, our team removed several non-load-bearing half-walls and columns that surrounded the space, cutting it off from the adjacent rooms and giving the Kitchen an overly-traditional aesthetic. The new Kitchen includes extensive bright and airy custom cabinetry that uses every inch of the spacious footprint, expanding storage and countertop space! A large island with seating for at least four anchors and fills the center of the space. White oak accents in the Kitchen bring warmth and natural texture, and tie the room in with the furnishings of the Dining and Living Rooms. New lighter-colored hardwood flooring throughout the Main Level brings everything together beautifully.
