This lovely Oakton home has plenty of space, but the Homeowners wanted an updated look as well as improved functionality on the main level for their growing family. Enter Synergy Design & Construction! The Kitchen was the starting point for this remodel, where we created a transitional style that is also family-friendly. Existing rustic shiplap and shelving in the Family Room (which adjoins the Kitchen) was incorporated into the new design, but we updated the fireplace surround with a sleek stacked stone so the new aesthetics blend seamlessly throughout the entire space.
Originally a Dining Room and most recently used as a playroom, the room beside the Kitchen was turned into a Butler’s Pantry, with tons of storage and prep space. We used a similar cabinetry color as the Kitchen island so one room flows to the next, making it feel like it’s part of a coordinating space, not a completely separate room.
