Antiqued white cabinetry and dark floors contrast with a contemporary glass-and-stone backsplash and bright Kashmir White granite
For their renovated kitchen and family room, our Ashburn clients wanted a slightly rustic yet fresh and contemporary style, mixing vintage-inspired materials with classic clean lines – as a result, we created a “Modern-day Farmhouse” look for them!
We removed the dividing half-walls between the kitchen and family room to open up the spaces and allow for a larger island with seating in the new layout. The remodeled space includes scraped hardwood flooring, glazed white cabinetry, a farm sink, and industrial light fixtures with Edison bulbs for an old-time feel. The sleek stainless appliances, light granite countertops, and updated paint colors compliment those features with a fresh, airy feel. Custom built-ins at the windows, a new millwork fireplace surround, and a coffered ceiling in the family room make the new space truly one-of-a-kind.
Check out the album for the “before” and beautiful “after” photos of both spaces!
