Small Spaces, Big Changes!

As a full-service design-build firm, our focus is on larger scale residential home remodeling projects like kitchens, basements and whole home remodels. But! That doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate how much impact remodeling a powder room, pantry or even a laundry room can have in a home! Here are a few of our favorite small space remodels that we’ve completed as part of home remodels in the local area. 

A Transitional Powder Room

In this home remodel in Oakton, the busy family needed more functional (and modern!) spaces to accommodate their young family. In addition to remodeling their kitchen and creating a GORGEOUS large pantry in an adjoining room (you can check that out here), they also decided to update the powder room. In doing so, the entire main level now takes on a whole new look and feel. We love that this look is modern but warm and welcoming – and little kid friendly!

A Perfect Pantry

We love a great pantry, but we also know that closet pantries are often cumbersome with too many doors opening and closing in a small space. In this home remodel in Herndon, the pantry was transformed to match the transitional style of the kitchen. We added modern barn doors for an updated look, but also better functionality. Lower cabinets provide tons of storage with upper open shelves for more frequently used items. These homeowners totally transformed their kitchen, pantry and primary bathroom as part of this remodel. A Contemporary Powder Room

This midcentury home in Reston was ready for a complete change! The homeowners remodeled the entire main level of their home, including this powder room. This is a great example of how to make a statement with wallpaper. We never get bored of staring at this beauty and just love how it all turned out. You can see more of this home remodel here. 

A Farmhouse Style Mudroom Makeover 

These homeowners bought a beautiful home with lots of green space and completely remodeled the main level of their house as well as a complete basement remodel. As part of the project, the husband wanted to surprise his wife with some unique features and touches that really made it their own. As vets with pets of their own, he asked us to create a cut through from the hallway by the garage door into the laundry room so their cats could have their very own entry into the laundry room if the door was closed. The final touch? This custom cat shaped cut-out created by one of our carpenters adds style to hide the kitty litter! See more of this home remodel here.

A Luscious Laundry Room

These clients were ready to make BIG changes in their kitchen and laundry/mudroom. They had enough space to increase the size of the laundry room by reclaiming square footage from the adjoining kitchen. Although this is no small undertaking, the results were worth it.
